Faye Alice Haglund, age 88, of Isle, passed away February 26, 2014. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband, Roger; sister, Phyllis Helligas; son, Guy (Liliana) Haglund; daughters Jacquelyn Haglund and Holly Holmes; grandchildren, Brandon Mael, Guy (Nikki) Mael, Damien Mael, and Ian Klug; step-brother, John (Sheridan) Funkhouser; great-grandchildren, Kaila, Kylee, Kelcee, Hunter, Kol; many other relatives as well as friends. Faye was born and raised in Isle, and, with the exception of a brief period during the war, lived her entire life there. Friends and family will remember her creative and adventurous spirit, cheerful smile and willingness to pitch in and help on any project. She and her husband, Roger, were loving and inseparable companions who were married for an incredible 69 years.

Faye was an extraordinary person who was a role model to all the women in her life as a woman, mother, and wife. She was an avid traveler, writer, home builder and home maker, outdoors lover, camper, hunter and fisherwoman, campground host, cook, seamstress, knitter and quilter, stained glass artist, and Scrabble and Rummikub lover.

Everyone whose life she touched will miss her deeply. Rest in Peace, dear Faye.
