Regina A. Thompson, 72, entered eternal life on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born in Jeffersonville on March 5, 1951, to the late Raymond and Faye Elicia Carver (Swartz).

She was an avid reader with a passion for criminology, Regina was a self-taught expert in the field. Her love for criminal and mystery shows reflected her intellectual curiosity and appreciation for the intricacies of the human mind. Notably, she held the distinction of being Amazon’s #1 customer, a testament to her love for literature and shopping.

Professionally, Regina served as a certified nurse’s assistant, dedicating her compassionate care to Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and ResCare Community Living in New Albany, Indiana. Her commitment to enhancing the lives of others was a cornerstone of her character.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Regina was a devoted supporter of the ASPCA, embodying her love for animals and a deep sense of empathy. Regina was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Broy.

Survivors include her son, Jeremy Swank (Brittany) of Pekin, Indiana, her daughters, Michelle Alexander (Mark) of Sellersburg, Indiana, Mellissa White (Dennis) of Memphis, Indiana and her grandchildren, Zachary West, Danielle Fuqua, Justin White, Christopher Merewether, Natalia White and Liam Swank. Regina also leaves 10 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
