Obituary

Delores Jayne Vasey, 81, of Parker, PA, passed away on January 19, 2017 at the Newhaven Court at Clearview.

She was born July 11, 1935 in Knox, Pennsylvania to the late O.J. Davis and the late Catherine Whitmore Davis.

Jayne graduated from White Memorial High School in 1953 in Knox, PA and then graduated from Butler County Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. In her earlier years she worked for Dr. Clinton Coulter in Parker, PA and then worked for Butler Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Room Department as a Registered Nurse. She retired in 1994 after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae and she was a Past President for the Butler Memorial Hospital Retirees. Jayne was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Parker, PA and also a member of the United Methodist Women of her church. She was a member of the Parker Chapter # 60 O. E. S.. Jayne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Jayne is survived by her husband Marshall Lynn Vasey, whom she married on June 15, 1956; one son, M. Bruce Vasey and his wife Patti of Butler, PA; one daughter, Lisa J. Vasey of Emsworth, PA; two grandchildren that she adored, Zachary Vasey and his girlfriend Kelsey Roberts of Butler, PA, and Olivia Vasey and her fiancee Ben Cumba of Butler, PA; one sister, Shellie Davis Waldron and her husband Dan of Mechanicsville, VA; four nieces; one nephew; and several cousins.

Friends will be received Monday, January 23, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 8:00 pm at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Pastor Tim Goodman of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Private internment will take place at the St. Petersburg Cemetery in St. Petersburg, PA.
