Obituary

Isabell “Chavela” Bracamonte was born in Phoenix, Az. On Dec.17,1950, to Isador Abid Lagod and Hortencia Hildago Lagod. Isabell moved to Lamont, Ca. In 1966, where she eventually met and married the love of her life, Benjamin Barrios Bracamonte in 1968. The Lord blessed them with three wonderful children. Sis Isabell gave her life to the Lord in her early 20’s after being deeply influenced by her mother in law Maria Bracamonte’s love for the Lord. The same love helped bring her sisters , Mary and Rosa to also give their lives to the Lord. Sis Isabell was baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ on May 21, 1977 in Lamont, Ca. She received the Holy Ghost on Sept. 5 1978. Sis Isabell was a faithful member of the Apostolic Assembly Church of Lamont where she enjoy cooking and cleaning at the church. She also loved making tamales to help raise funds for any event the church was having. Her passion and delight was to serve her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and she did so until her last breath.

 For those who knew Isabell, you know that she had a great love for her family and would do anything for them. She loved traveling to Arizona to visit her brothers  and sisters. Isabell also had a huge hand in helping raised her grandchildren, Tasha, Victor, Ilene, Arnold and Bella. She also worked hard as a farm laborer for many years. Isabell is proceeded in death by her parents, Isador and Hortencia Lagod, husband Benny Bracamonte, mother-in-law, Maria Bracamonte, sister Patricia and brother Johnny. She is survived by her children, Rey Anthony Bracamonte, Clancy Bracamonte, Patrick (Frances) Baracamonte, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Isabell went to be with the Lord on Oct. 19, 2020 after serving the Lord faithfully for nearly 50 years. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and members of the Apostolic Assembly.
