Obituary

James Matthews, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away on February 22, 2013 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Nancy (Holt) Matthews for 60 years; cherished father of Nancy Jean McDonnell and her husband Pat; brother of Lillie Shannon and Jeanne Matthews; proud grandfather of Patrick Wayne McDonnell; he is also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A funeral service will be held in his honor on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. Interment and military honors to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
