(14 years old) | Alexandria, MN

Hunter Alton Boutain was born June 5, 2001 in Bedford, Indiana.  On November 23, 2004 Hunter was adopted by Jeffery and Rosanne (Soto) Boutain where they made their home in New Hope, MN.  In June of 2012 the family moved to Alexandria where Hunter attended Discovery Middle School and just completed the eighth grade.

Hunter enjoyed playing the bass in the middle school orchestra and jazz band.  He also loved baseball, basketball, skate boarding and, much to his Dad’s dismay, was a Packer fan.  Most importantly, Hunter loved being part of the Lakeland United Pentecostal Church Youth Group, Bible Quizzing, and attending Bible Camps.  Hunter recently determined he was called to work in the ministry.  He was planning a trip to Oklahoma, City for the North American Youth Congress and to compete in a national Bible Quizzing competition. To prepare, he had memorized 468 Bible verses

Hunter went on to his final reward at the age of 14 on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis surrounded by his family.  Hunter is survived by his parents, Jeff and Roseanne (Soto) Boutain; brothers, Austin Boutain, Lee Boutain, and Dakota Lindley; sisters, Brooklyn Henderson and Alyssa Hudson; paternal grandmother, Cheryl Boutain of Alexandria; maternal grandparents, Alton and Denita Brock of New Albany, MS, and great-grandmother, Frances McKinney of Akron, OH; maternal grandparents, John and Rosemary Soto of Clintonville, WI; paternal aunts and uncles, Stacey (Clem) Boutain of Parkers Prairie, Joel (Kim) Boutain of Alexandria, and Bryan (Christie) Boutain of Alexandria; maternal aunts and uncles, James (Jennifer) Hudson of Oxford, MS, and Delores Kramer of Huston, TX; maternal aunts and uncles, Andrew (Andrea) Soto of Hortonville, WI, Aaron (Heather) Soto of Greenville WI, and LaRita (Jacques) Prickette of Clintonville, WI; and many cousins.
