Francis W. “Frank” Ries, Jr., 66, of Hollis, NH, passed away at his home, Monday evening, October 25, 2021, after a period of declining health.
Born in Millinocket, Maine on June 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Francis “Frank” W. and Janet M. (Baron) Ries. Prior to moving to Hollis, Frank made his home in several locations including Framingham, MA. He was a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Frank was a software engineer and had been employed by Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
In his leisure time, he enjoyed computers, audio-visual equipment, and spending time with his family at their home on Lake Winnipesaukee.
He will be greatly missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Randall Blake of Jacksonville, FL and a nephew, Scott Blake; aunts Marylene Weishaar, Teutopolis, IL and Dorothy Baron, Millinocket, Me as well as some cousins. Also left to mourn are his caregiver, Colleen J. Riley of Nashua, NH and friends Tom Booth of Amherst, NH and Bill Meier of Carlisle, MA.
