Life Story

  Norma was born in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico and she was the youngest of 11 children. She was the baby of the family and was well taken care of by her siblings. She had a close relationship with all of them and her mother, Soledad Corral. 

  At the age of 6, she moved to Los Angeles with only knowing Spanish and learned English in school. She would travel back and forth to Juarez to visit. Then at the age of 12 she moved and resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico. 

  She met her husband Dan Garcia at Garcia's Kitchen and later became a mother to 6 children Andrew 1977, Jose Angel 1981, Jean-Carlos 1986 Daniel Lorenzo 1989, Daniel Andrew 1990 and Gabriel 2014.
