Stella Michels was born and raised on a third-generation farm in Eagle Point, Wisconsin. She started at an in-home daycare at 18 months, attended 4K at Kids USA, and then went on to Jim Falls Elementary for grades K-5. She completed middle school at Chippewa Falls Middle School and was set to attend Chi-Hi for her freshman year in 2024.
Stella had a remarkable ability to light up any room with her infectious laugh and smile. Anyone who knew her would describe her as sweet, kind, outgoing, and an incredible friend and listener. She was a quick learner, walking at just 9 months and driving her first 4-wheeler at 3 years old. Stella was responsible, intelligent, beautiful, and a daydreamer—though she was also a bit slow and pokey, like a sloth.
Stella loved staying active. She enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, and shooting hoops. Summer was her favorite season, with all the activities that came with it, including boating, fishing, tubing, zup-boarding, jet skiing, and kayaking. She was a thrill-seeker and loved visiting amusement parks, attending fairs, and going to haunted houses in the fall.
Stella also found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like watching beautiful sunsets, going on hikes or walks to take in nature, and camping. She enjoyed French class, probably because of her love for food, and English, because she loved writing. Her favorite holidays were Christmas—she adored the music, baking, and giving gifts—and April Fools’ Day, as she was quite the prankster.
Stella was a one-of-a-kind gentle soul, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her is truly blessed. Fly high, angel. You are deeply missed… until we meet again.
