Scott Franklin Garrison, “Scotty G,” was born on January 25, 1973 in Fremont, Ohio to Regina Foster and the late Roy Garrison Sr. After a long battle with lung cancer, Scotty passed on August 20, 2024 at Adena Pike in Waverly, surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandparents Wilson and Nellie Ratliff, and Aunt Helena Maddy.
He was survived by his mother Regina, second father Von Foster, his wife Gwendolyn, seven sons, and many grandchildren.
Children and grandchildren include:
Zachary & Kaitlyn, and their children Kason and Maelee.
Seth & Abi, and their daughter Halo.
Zane & Tacey, and their children Zander and Tanzlee.
Carson Hillard and his children Carson “CJ,”Carter, Colson, Elizabeth, and Grace.
Bryden, Scotty, and Carter.
Four siblings, Karen Page (Dave Brandenburg) Roy (Tammy) Garrison, Chrissy Garrison, and Laurie (Jerome) Moore. Many nieces and nephews, including his favorite niece, Shea.
Many knew Scott as a welder or mechanic, but “professional tinkerer” would be most fitting. Trading cars was his favorite hobby. He was wild and reckless, keeping his family on their toes. Although he lived a fast paced life, he had a heart of gold. He didn’t know a stranger and was loved by many, leaving behind several friends, including special friends Jim and Dolly Chandler, Jamie Jackson, Austin Gillenwater, and his cousin Michael Osborn.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 28 from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm at Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. The family welcomes anyone who loved Scott to stop by during this time. Graveside service and burial to immediately follow at the Beaver Union Cemetery.
