Bradley Stephen Cook, 34, of Burlington, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, due to a cardiac event and gained his angel wings.
Brad was born in Elgin, IL on April 26, 1988, to Geoffrey and Mardell (nee Stich) Cook. Brad grew up in Burlington where he played many sports including his favorites; football and baseball. He graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 2006. After high school he furthered his academic career and attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Brad graduated from UW Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety. Brad worked at CNH, Nestle, and most recently Redmer and Sons Recycling.
Our Brad was a gift to all, he was caring, compassionate, loving, humorous, loyal, a “Mr. Fix it” kind of guy, who would do anything for anyone. If he was unable to figure it out, he would research it. Above all he was a loving dad to his son Cole who was his world. They were inseparable, he would do anything for his son. He was a baseball coach and loved playing ball with Cole. Every year they traveled to Texas to visit his brother Eric. Cole and Brad along with his brothers Eric and Jonathan enjoyed the countless hours spent doing all kinds of things or just hanging. Watching all of them together was truly priceless. You could feel the love. Brad was a devoted son and brother. He spent countless hours of quality time with his mom, dad and siblings. He loved his entire family so much. We laughed a lot, played sports, and even cried together. When not with his family he enjoyed spending time with his friends. His favorite times spent with friends were at Country Thunder with their Tiki Bar, Brewers games, or just hanging out having a beer. He enjoyed watching thunderstorms, viewing the stars, making people laugh, and being on the family’s property, where he and Cole built their home.
Brad will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and anyone that knew him. We meant everything to him, and he meant everything to us.
Brad is survived by his parents Geoffrey and Mardell Cook; son Cole; brothers; Eric (Monica) Cook, Jonathan (Ashley) Cook; niece Brynlee; nephew Liam; grandfather; Greg (Karen) Cook. He is further survived by Cole’s mom Sarah, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
