Obituary

Ava Jean Ridenour, age 17, of Tipton, Indiana passed away on Saturday November 8, 2014 in Tipton. She was born on August 16, 1997 in Noblesville, IN to Kim and Julie (Hamilton) Ridenour.

Ava was an active member of the Center Grove Baptist in Phlox and was very involved in the youth ministry at Heartland Church. On August 5, 2012 Ava, along with her immediate family were all baptized into the Center Grove Baptist Church.

She was a member of the Junior Class at Tipton High School. Her extra curricular activities within the school included the Tipton Lady Devil Softball team and Girls Choir, where she was awarded Most Valuable Choir Member in 2013. Ava was a very talented and gifted singer and recently auditioned for the popular television program American Idol. Prior to playing high school softball Ava was very active on many local travel teams playing for the Indiana Diamond Batz, Howard County Thunder and the Noblesville Flames.

She worked at Millers Merry Manor as a dietary assistant.

She is survived by her parents, Kim and Julie Ridenour, a sister Alayna Ridenour, a brother Abren Ridenour, and a special friend Kaleb Murray of Tipton. Other survivors include her grandparents; Dave and Doris Reeder of Tipton, Peggy Brumley of Windfall, Roger and Glendora Hamilton of Tipton along with her great grandparents; James and Eva Sharber of Windfall, Barbara Ridenour of Sharpsville, Marcella Reeder of Anderson, several cousins, aunts, uncles family and friends. Ava was proceeded in death by her two grandfathers; Kim Ridenour Sr. and Jack Brumley, her great grandparents; Warren Ridenour, Anna Brown, Alva and Myrtle Rood, Woodrow Reeder, her uncle James Hamilton and a great aunt, Angela Doyle.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday evening November 12, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at the Tipton High School Girls Gymnasium with entrance doors located on the east side of the school. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday morning at the school with Pastor Kevin Carr officiating. Committal will take place in Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of floral contributions a memorial fund has been established at Encompass Credit Union.
