Ā Ā Abigail Renae Brown, 25, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at her home.
Ā She was born on March 2, 2000, in Madisonville, KY, to Renee Grimes Pratt and David Brown. She was a 2018 graduate of Hopkins County Central High School where she was on the swim team and the track team. She loved giving swimming lessons and enjoyed being a lifeguard at the YMCA. She enjoyed pet setting for people, shopping, sewing and making stuff, fishing, camping, and arrowhead hunting. One of her passions was being involved with mission trips. Her greatest joy was being a mother to her children, Grant and Zoey. Abigail attended Hanson United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church in Madisonville.
Ā She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Walter āPopsā Grimes; uncle Barry Grimes ; great-grandmother, Granny Hardison; great-grandmother, Mamaw Micky Welborn; and her great-grandfather, Clyde āWeeā Brown, Jr.
Ā Her survivors include her mother, Renee (Greg) Grimes Pratt of Madisonville; father, David (Lynn Long) Brown of Madisonville; children, Grant Jackson and Zoey Jackson; sister, Aubrianna Brown of Madisonville; grandparents, Gary and Terri Brown of Central City, KY, Beverly āGrammieā and Mahlon Crowley of Panama City, FL, Mamaw Conrad of Madisonville, and Mike āPoppieā and Margie Rawlins of Madisonville; aunts and uncles, Kim and Alan Menser of Ilsley, KY, and Melinda Grimes of Owensboro, KY; nieces and nephews, Jayston and Aniya; and her loving dog, Teddy Bear Brown.
Ā A funeral service will be help at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Hanson United Methodist Church, 2740 Brown Badgett Loop, Hanson, KY, with Bro. Lon Lorton and Bro. Rob Wilson officiating. Burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.
Ā Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at the church. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ā Pallbearers are Houston Clark, Jacob Clark, Adam Clark, Chris Campbell, Bradley Eagen, and Jake Gentry. The honorary pallbearers are Phillip Chandler, Jerry Salmon, and Tristan Blankenship.
