Chance Roy Donnelly Chance Roy Donnelly, 32, of San Marcos, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010. Chance was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 22, 1978. When he was two, his family moved to San Marcos. He felt blessed to call this beautiful Texas Hill Country his home. He attended all of his school years in San Marcos where he created friendships that have lasted his lifetime. Throughout his school years, Chance had a passion for sports and he excelled at both football and pole vaulting. He graduated from San Marcos High School in 1997 and then pursued interests in sales and real estate. He married Margaret, his high school sweetheart, on May 6, 2000 and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Kimberly, a true Daddy's girl. They moved to The Woodlands where Chance began his career as a Dental Sales Representative. He excelled greatly at this, showcasing his talents in the field and remaining in the industry building relationships with many clients throughout Central Texas. He received much recognition throughout his career including Rookie of the Year. In 2007, Chance was proud to move his family back to San Marcos where he continued his career. He felt blessed to be a part of the Benco Dental Company family. Chance's passions were wakeboarding, snow skiing, target shooting, cooking, hunting, Texas A&M football, working at the ranch (especially chopping cedar) and driving nice cars; but most of all, he liked spending time with the ones he loved, including his beloved English Bulldogs, Leroy and Wilbur. Chance was a natural born leader with a huge heart full of compassion for everyone he came in contact with no matter their station in life. Chance will be remembered by so many because he truly made a lasting impression on all the lives he touched. He lived his life to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to be surrounded by the ones he loved. Chance is survived by his wife, Margaret Donnelly; daughter, Kimberly Donnelly; parents Bob and Kathy Donnelly; and brother, Jared Donnelly all of San Marcos, Texas; and grandparents, Ruby Berry and LeRoy White of Driftwood, Texas. Chance was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Hugh and Katherine Donnelly and maternal grandfather, Olian Berry. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, December 7th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home, 2001 Ranch Road 12 in San Marcos. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home. All friends are invited to come share their memories with the family.
