Our beloved son, brother and friend, Ian was taken from us way too soon at the young age of 21 on the evening of March 4, 2015 due to injuries sustained in a truck accident while working in Williston North Dakota.
Ian was born on July 20, 1993 in Spokane WA. He moved to Idaho at the age of 2 and attended all of his school years in the Lakeland School District. Ian loved sports and played in Little League baseball – Flag and Junior Tackle Football and Soccer. He enjoyed all of the outdoors – swimming – camping – cliff diving – snowboarding – hunting - you name it – he did it. He was a fitness advocate always finding time for the gym no matter how tired he was or how many hours he had worked.
Ian had an infectious smile and everyone that knew him knew and loved that smile. Ian had such a positive impact on anyone who met him. He possessed a beautiful kind happy and fun loving good mojo spirit – always known for his ability to light up a room when he walked in. He made a lasting impression everywhere he went. Ian had his own sense of style and we laughed that he was such a “fashionista” – having just as many clothes as his older sister Megan. His taste in clothes was only topped by his taste in cars and trucks – always trading up and having to have the best accessories and stereos and details that made them “IanBrochill” unique.
Ian was so loved by our family and all of his friends and most anyone that had the opportunity to meet him. Ian was such a bright spot in our lives and was a true soul mate to his mother for his wonderful outlook on life and that it should be lived with complete happiness and with as much fun as could be fit in to each day – surrounded by those who felt the same.
Ian was a hard worker. He worked for Clearwater Springs doing various jobs before heading off to North Dakota to work beside a lot of the friends he grew up with. He was loved by all of these guys – both young and old. He worked hard – and then played hard - he lived every minute of his life to the fullest and squeezed every minute out of every day. We are so proud of the wonderful kind hard working man he became. He had just started the search to buy a home here in Coeur d’Alene to call his own.
Please join us in celebrating Ian’s life well lived on Friday March 20th at Lake City Community Church beginning at 11 a.m. with a procession to graveside services at Riverview Cemetery on Lincoln Way.
