Valerie was born February 29 (a leap year baby) reaching 19 real birthdays in Littleton NH in 1940,
Cherished daughter of the late Gayton H Greene of NY and Kathleen G Parker of NH. She was a member of DAR and she graduated from Brookline High School in 1959.
Valerie became interested in Astrology and completed her studies in Quincy, MA in 1972. She began her astrological career the following year with many clients thru out New England. She established her office “The Astro Nook” in Braintree, MA. She was a radio and tv personality as a astro-forecaster and became a regular with her daily astrological forecasts on Boston TV’s “Good Day Show”, WBZ-TV4 “People Are Talking” as well as Horoscope Hotlines and Radio broadcasts on WOKW in Brockton, Radio 1590 in Nashua NH and Talk Radio AM 1170 in Dennis, MA.
She was a member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the founder of Astro-Mates astrological dating service and singles astrology parties. She also was a monthly speaker at Barnes and Nobles in Braintree. She most recently had a Astro-Reiki Healing Space in Littleton, NH and an online Astrology Blog called “It’s in the Stars” and Facebook page called “Astrology by Valerie Greene”.
She also was very proud of her involvement in Parents Without Partners over the years where she attained life long friendships as well as helped countless single parents not to feel so alone.
In the early 1980s she followed in her Father’s and Uncles footsteps and went head first into the Car Dealership business where she learned and excelled at being one of the first female car salespersons at Ricky Smith Pontiac in Weymouth
Following her desire to help others she trained as an activity assistant for the elderly and worked for Dearfield Health in Hingham, MA.
She was a devoted lover of all animals, especially dogs, of which she had many. During her lifetime she enjoyed participating in AKC dog shows and breeding Shetland Sheepdogs and Papillons.
During her retirement years she was able to pursue her love of writing into books about her beloved pets, one of them called “A Dog Called Miracle” which can be found on Amazon.
She returned to her place of birth, Franconia, NH in 2004, which was a life-long dream come true. She was a member of the Franconia Community Church of Christ and was a board member of the Franconia Heritage Museum. She moved to Stoughton, MA in 2013 in order to be closer to her children.

Sister of Gayle Greene-Watkins and her husband, Larry of NH. and Linda Greene of AZ. Aunt of Jennifer McCabe Barshack and her husband, Evan and their son, Mikey of MN.
Grandmother 'Ama' to the late Joshua Knochin, as well as Jeffrey and Alison Knochin, Scott and Eric Gorman, Matthew Cotter and Megan Short. Former wife of and father of her children, Gerald Gorman of Wareham. Also survived by her beloved pets, Blossom, Raphael and Chumley.
