Morgan Reese Hallak
July 9, 2016 – November 24, 2025
Morgan Reese Hallak, age 9, of Lawson, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by the endless love of her family.
Born on July 9, 2016, Morgan brought nine years of pure joy, energy, laughter, and light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a vibrant, spirited little girl whose smile could brighten any room. Sassy, funny, mischievous, and full of life, Morgan had a genuine laugh that was impossible to forget and a heart big enough to touch people everywhere she went. She never met a stranger and had a special way of making people feel like they had known her forever.
Morgan loved all things colorful, especially bright, bold, cheerful colors that matched her personality. She was always on the move, whether zooming around on her pink moped, playing soccer or softball, practicing gymnastics, dancing with all the confidence in the world, or enjoying time outdoors. She also loved cheering for the Dallas Cowboys right alongside her dad, proudly sporting her blue and silver.
Morgan embraced every holiday and loved finding excitement in every season. One of her greatest joys was snow. Although she had seen snow before in Texas, she eagerly anticipated Missouri's winter with pure excitement and wonder. She often talked about how magical it would be and was so ready to experience her first real Missouri snowfall. Morgan also loved the family dog A.K.A. 'her dog', Midnight, and her favorite spaghetti and meatballs. It was the little things, along with her enormous personality, that made her so wonderfully and unmistakably Morgan.
On November 21, 2025, Morgan was involved in a motor vehicle crash. After several days in the hospital, she passed away on November 24, surrounded by her family's love. Her passing left a heartbreak that words cannot fully express, but even in the midst of unimaginable grief, Morgan's story became one of extraordinary generosity and hope.
Through her Walk of Honor, Morgan gave the gift of life to others. Her parents chose organ donation because they believed it was what Morgan would have wanted, particularly knowing she could help other children. Through this incredible gift, Morgan saved six lives, including a direct kidney donation to Wyatt, a child from her own town. Her legacy lives on in the children whose lives were saved and in the families who have been given more time together because of her.
The outpouring of love for Morgan was a testament to the impact she made in just nine short years. More than 1,300 people signed guest books at her viewing and funeral in Texas, reflecting the many lives touched by this unforgettable little girl. And in Lawson, a community Morgan had only called home for three months, the outpouring of love was just as incredible. More than 200 people gathered, by our best estimate, between her Honor Walk and balloon release, though we may never truly know how many came to honor our girl.
Morgan is deeply loved and will be endlessly missed by her parents, Reese and Samantha Hallak, and her adoring sisters, Alyssa and Peyton Hallak.
She is also survived by her grandparents, Michael (Papa) and Tracy (Mimi) Hallak, Le Anna Gardner (Granny), and Guy Wiley; her aunts and uncles, Buddy and Ashley Hallak, Zachary and Amber Hallak, Steven and Paige Shields, Jacob Wiley and Elisa Meredith, and Cody and Christina Wiley; her first cousins, Moira, Zoey, Audrey, Stella, Brock, Cooper, Cylus, and Chase; and many great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by Howard Gardner (Papa), George Hallak (Papo), and June Reese (Nana).
Morgan's life was far too short, but it was filled with love, laughter, adventure, and a spirit that will never be forgotten. She will forever be remembered for her bright personality, her playful mischief, her contagious laugh, her love of family, and her enormous heart.
Nine years was not nearly enough. But Morgan's story will continue through the memories her family holds close, the stories that will be told for generations, the people who will smile when they remember her, and the six lives forever changed by her final gift.
Morgan adored the family dog, Midnight, whom she treated like her own baby, often wrapping him in blankets and cuddling up to sleep beside him. Midnight passed away in Lawson on February 25, 2026, just three months after Morgan.
Forever loved. Forever young. Forever Morgan. Forever Nine. 💜
